A medieval country estate, tucked away in a rural hamlet which required a major renovation to create a family home for the next generation
We worked closely with the whole family to understand their aspirations and requirements for their home. The house was very old and home to a wonderful collection of heirlooms.
We created a vision and design that balanced their desire for a contemporary and clean feel whilst keeping a sense of history and continuity, incorporating their family treasures and sourcing all the necessary materials and furniture to work alongside these to realise our design and breathe new life into this home.
We sourced all the necessary materials and furniture to work alongside the family pieces to realise our design and breathe new life in to each and every space
In the drawing room we retained the hand painted walls which reach to the Adam bows & scrolls ceiling and added new furnishings to the heritage pieces to create the feeling of an Italian style Salon.
We reconfigured the layout of the rooms, adding a garden room, to create an easy flow of access to the more formal rooms, also to make the most of the garden setting.
The rooms were united by creating a clean colour palette and aesthetic.
Of course, we are lucky to have accrued a wonderful team of tradesmen and artisans over the years who work with us to see these projects through.
