Amanda has been given a complete blank canvas to create a beach side family home.  The aim is to create a property with a New England beach house feel.

This was an extensive redesign and rebuild of the this pied de l'eau villa on Cap Ferrat Cote D'azure, to create a stylish and reinvigorated property including remodelling the frontage which is cut into the cliffside.

Amanda Meade Design has been working on the complete renovation of this English Country Estate since 2011 which is now complete for the first phase, although with a property of this nature you could go on adding to it forever!  Amanda has overseen this massive project which includes full restoration and modernisation to create a beautiful country home for a busy young vibrant family to enjoy.  The project includes a leisure suite, complete exterior re landscaping and restoration and refurbishment of all the buildings.

This stunning Penthouse overlooking St Brelade's Bay in Jersey was the pefect blank canvas for Amanda to create a fabulous interior for her Client.

This former Artist's Studio in the heart of The Boltons has been converted by Amanda Meade Design and her team to a small but very stylish home in the heart of one of the most sought after addresses in London. 

This Estate near Newton Stewart was bought by a London property developer and his Swedish wife, a restaurateur.    They decided to leave their hectic London life behind and develop a holistic centre to facilitate health and wellbeing which had become their shared passion.    Penninghame House had been neglected for some time and had at one time been used as an open prison.   Amanda Meade Design worked closely with her clients to restore the properties on the estate and design a home to suit them both and to create the working areas for the health centre.

Amanda Meade Design worked alongside Nick Ship Architects and the owners from the initial design inception to create a beautifully crafted and uniquely designed new build country house in an idyllic isolated Hampshire valley on the site of an original 1906's 'Chalet' bungalow.   The clients' brief was for a practical efficient and generous modern country house, with a feeling of space and the great outdoors and  to blend with the landscape.  Twinley House was designed to make use of every pragmatic environmental design solution and modern technology.   The client wanted it to reflect their love of American and French designs and of natural materials.   This project lasted two years and Amanda worked closely on the complete interior architecture, layout,  technology, and all interior finishes.

Set in a quiet village, The Old Rectory is a substantial Georgian Rectory with lovely grounds and far reaching views.   The previous occupiers had undertaken complete structural renovation in the 1980's and the house required simple modernisation and a creative mind to update it and make a  truly stunning yet unpretentious family home.    Amanda Meade Design created an interior in sympathy with the age and architecture of the building, providing rooms for entertaining alongside practical everyday  living spaces for a large busy family.    Each corner of the house is detailed in craftsmanship and design, . A talking point amongst locals to this day.

This new build, designed and built by Amanda Meade for her mother within the Grade 11* listed grounds of a walled garden had to satisfy many criteria.  It needed to be practical and easy to maintain, to reflect her love of the New England style and  "to be filled with light", whilst the local Planning Authority required it to resemble a building in empathy with a tradtional walled garden structure.    Through clever selection of building materials, colour and tones, the house is both smart and comfortable, traditional and contemporary and has been featured in editorials worldwide.

The Walled Garden House runs the full length of an old estate walled garden, the house resembles a folly and is full of light and imbued with a very fresh feeling, thanks to the vivid colours, natural floorings and comfortably upholstered furniture.  In true Amanda Meade style while the property is cosy in a traditional sense, the shades of white and the open plan shelving in the kitchen, for example, add the contemporary design touch to make it a little different and certainly unique.

An Old Parsonage  in a village location, that required renovation with the aim of providing a very comfortable family home in a typical country style.    Amanda Meade Design undertook this project from inception through to full completion within six months.    The Client arrived with few possessions and Amanda delivered a house within time and budget that the family could immediately enjoy with detailed luxurious touches and flourishes throughout giving the rooms their own unique atmosphere.

Amanda Meade Design first created the interior of this barn conversion for a family home in 2006.  A few year's later the Client's decided to move to France and an antique dealer from Camden Passage and Brighton fell in love with the house and the light filled interior when searching for a rural retirement home.  He immediately called Amanda to work  alongside him and together they provided the perfect backrop for his eclectic mix of possessions from a lifetime of collecting.     

This medieval house hidden away next to the Bishop's Palace sits in the confines of Lincoln Cathderal, overshadowed by the Cathedral on the north side it then has breathtaking views of the city and beyond to the south.  A complete hidden gem lived in by an Architectural Photographer and a Chef who share a passion for art , architecture and culture.    Amanda Meade Design helped them create a simple stylish interior to house their many possessions and reflect their lifestyle and passions.

English Country Living was the first complete Lifestyle Store in the UK which opened it's doors in 2003, more than 25,000 people a year visited the store set in a rambling Georgian house in a rural country village in Lincolnshire.   High House, the home to  English Country Living was decorated inside and out to resemble a home but one in which everything was actually for sale.  It was re-styled each season and the business  grew to include a Cafe, Florist, Garden, an Online Store and in house magazine.    The press loved it and the store was featured in publications worldwide.

In 2009 Amanda decided to retire from retail and concentrate on her home, family and her Interior Design business.   English Country Living is missed by many to this day.
