The Walled Garden Houses were all originally part of the Caythorpe Hall estate

By the time of purchase the walled garden had been long abandoned, stripped bare by the grazing of pigs and had a tarmac  tennis court installed at one end.

Over a period of five years we restored the original garden house, a separate granary and built a house for Granny in the garden.

The original walls were still in situ many still had the wires and labels from the fruit grown at the back of the glass houses, the remains of the bothies were against the north wall. Eventually the garden was re designed by Guy Petheram.

The Kitchen in the main house had large French doors opening on to the south facing garden, we did not have lots of money to left to spend so these units came from IKEA, I loved them.

The house featured in many magazines including a charming Christmas feature.
