When this lovely family home was inherited it was in need of a major refurbishment.   The family wanted to retain the charm and treasures whilst giving the home a fresher feel  more suited to modern family living.

The original Georgian villa had been re-modelled by the Edwardians and the house doubled in size.  Large formal rooms at the front of the house gave way to a myriad of service rooms at the back of the house.

We remodelled these rooms merging three together to make an enormous living kitchen which is filled with afternoon light.

The drawing room has wonderful views over the gardens and  parkland, we retained the wall panels, embellishments and original furniture and added a glamorous chinoiserie gilt peacock wallpaper

The morning room is a glorious room which opens on to the terraces and garden.

We adored the original chintz curtains which we restored, the room was refreshed with new upholstery and paint colours.

The staircase is flooded with light from a newly restored roof lantern.

A Gentlemans En-suite

There was a warren of ‘back of house’ bedrooms which have been transformed in to bedrooms and bathrooms for the family and guests
